Anyone ever do the lemon from seed thing? Mine are kinda going crazy. Just pretty curious. VERY healthy plants, though, they are growing weird... like one little leaf then the next will be massive. Definatly faster growing that my key lime seedlings (started another batch at the same time as my lemons) Quite advanced root systems for their size... something must be working right. Looking forwards to another flush on them, see what they do this go around, small leaves or large.

From my limited knowledge of horticulture, the seedling will be a hybrid between the tree the lemon came off of and whatever polinated it. The combinations can be quite large. To get an exact duplicate (clone), you have to graft. However, some fruit and I think some citrus grow true from seed. Plant genetics is a complicated thing.

Now apparently one cultivar that can be grown true from seed is flying dragon trifoliate plants to be used as root stock for dwarf trees. I am looking for a source of said seeds with the plan to start planting several hundred each year for root stock. Do you are anyone else know of a source for these seed in bulk?
