Hi all I am new to this forum:) I am a newbie to citrus. As a matter of fact I don't have any plants yet. But I have been reading quite a bit citrus. Because of space and my location (North Texas) I would like to start with Satsuma on a Flying Dragon rootstock. My problem is I am having trouble locating one.
I have found out of state sources but they can't ship to Texas. And I have found at least one in state whole sale nursery (Doremus) but they only sell wholesale.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
David

http://members.fortunecity.com/pjsauber/# This guy has a great variety if you ever get into SE Texas. He's in Beaumont, and is a big grafter of Trifoliate. Check out the website, and email him and see what he might have available. Great guy, I've gotten some Sour Orange seeds, seedlings, and flying dragon seedlings that I hope to get to grafting size. Good luck!!

Anoltroll,
I actually emailed him a while back. He suggested a nursery. But it turns out they use sour orange rootstock. Why is it so hard to find Satsuma on Flying Dragon? Are they difficult to graft?

Anoltroll,

I revisited Mr.Texas' site. What a great site! He doesn't ship but now I'm thinking about driving down. Thanks for mentioning it :)

Also, if you ever want to expand your collection, check out Fox Nursery in Corpus Christi. From about the end of March to end of April especially. Great selection, great quality, good prices, knowledgable folks.... I go each year on a business meeting, and bring several back.
