I have a lot of tiny green oranges (this is tree's 2nd year in my yard). I did some pruning, mostly of leaves which were hiding the oranges.

In doing this, my thought was to allow the fruit more light, protect fruit from insects which could use the leaves as cover, and also, just so the baby oranges were easy for me to see, instead of hidden under leaves.

Could there be any negative consequence of my doing this?

I'm in sonoma county, northern California.
