Citrus Peel Deodorizing
You can use strong-smelling rinds to make your kitchen smell nice and citrusy. Orange and lemon rinds are great for this. You might as well if you have no other use for them.
Here's how:
If you have a garburator (is that the proper spelling?) you garb them down there after flushing it with water for a few seconds to get rid of whatever else might have been there. The rinds break up and they scent your kitchen. Of course it depends on how big your kitchen is. If it's big, the smell doesn't drift over the whole area. In any case, it gets rid of pre-existing garburator odors.
One of my friends just tosses rinds in a blender with water and out comes like a citrus paste. She puts in right on the counter. It smells nice, but citrus paste on the counter? I guess it is ok if you don't have little kids...
Does anyone else have household tips recipes?
